Engineering Co-op/Intern Expense Scholarship

The Engineering Co-op/Intern Expense Scholarship assists students with the additional expenses that may be associated with taking on an internship or co-op. These include costs that are not always covered by the employer such as: housing, relocation, supplies, transportation, etc. These scholarships are made available thanks to the support of generous donors. Scholarships will be awarded up to $1000.  

Scholarship Details 

To Qualify:  

• Must be enrolled in the College of Engineering 

• Must be working a co-op or internship while enrolled as an active student in the College of Engineering

• Must have reported the position in Handshake 

*Scholarship applicants will be asked to provide a breakdown of estimated out-of-pocket costs during the work term AND any coverage the company is providing.

Fill out the application form on the right sidebar to apply for the scholarship.  

Applications can be submitted anytime for future semesters.  Applications will be reviewed and then recipients will be notified the last week of each semester according to the schedule below.

• Week of April 24, 2023 - awards for Summer 2023 and Autumn 2023 work terms
  Application deadline: April 15, 2023
• Week of July 31, 2023 - awards for Autumn 2023 and Spring 2024 work terms
  Application deadline: July 15, 2023
• Week of December 11, 2023 - awards for Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 work terms
  Application deadline: December 1, 2023
